このシリーズは、オーバーヘッド・プロジェクターを野外に持ち出し、投影したものである。プロジェクターが映し出す有機的な形や色は、アクリル板の上に透明絵の具を用いて描写したものだ。そのイメージが建築や自然の中に投影されることで、日常の風景が一部、幻想的なものになる。2012年に韓国国立美術館のレジデンス・プログラムで制作した作品だ。このコンセプトを基に徳島県でもいくつかのプロジェクションを行い撮影した。日常的な景色を変容させる試みは、グラフィティーに通じるものがある。しかし、プロジェクションは一時的なものであり、その時の気候や天気によって現れるイメージが異なる。その為、全く同じイメージを再現することはできない。雨が降ると水の表面の映像が反射し、更に幻想的な表情を見せてくれた。
This series involves taking an overhead projector outdoors and projecting images. The organic shapes and colors projected by the projector are created using transparent paints on acrylic plates. When these images are projected onto architecture or nature, ordinary landscapes become partly fantastical. This work was created during a residency program at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Korea in 2012. Based on this concept, I also conducted and photographed several projections in Tokushima Prefecture. The attempt to transform everyday scenery has a connection to graffiti. However, projections are temporary, and the images that appear vary depending on the weather and climate at the time. Therefore, it is impossible to recreate the exact same image. When it rained, the reflection of the image on the water's surface added an even more fantastical expression.
